    Default FTA Ku Channels at Chinasat 9


    Anyone who can get Ku Band Channels from Chinasat 9 at 92.2E. Check d T.P. here www.lyngsat.com/china9.html
    In order to receive d signals, do we need a special stb - ABS. Anybody have knowledge, pliz suggest.

    You can ask DVBKEY. He advertised his ABS receiver last year.

    Cool ABS in DVB card

    ABS is a system like DVB. But the different is, CAS is included in ABS. In the case of DVB, we need to get H/W S/W from third party for that. ABS is still using QPSK. That's the reason why normal receiver can be used for positioning the dish correctly.


    Most of the DVB softwares AltDVB, DVBDream etc etc are work on DVB system so, the software can't give picture from a ABS signal. If someone write a programe for ABS, then we can get picture using a DVB card. (I think like that may be wrong because ABS includes a encryption system. So the signal may be encrypted).
