    Advisory: Eutelsat Satellite Replacement
Eutelsat have confirmed the schedule for the replacement of the W1 satellite with W2A at the 10 degrees East orbital position.

The switchover from W1 to W2A will occur at approximately 2310 GMT on the 18 May 2009.

Eutelsat have prioritised the F4 transponder to minimise the disruption to AP distribution services. Eutelsat advise the interruption should be in the order of one minute or less according to previous transfers.

AP services affected are at the 10 degrees East orbital position, AsiaSat 2 in Asia and W3A in Africa.

Services on the AP Data channel will be paused and held prior to the switchover and then resumed after a successful switchover has been confirmed.

Transmission on APTN's satellite network, the Global Video Wire (GVW), will have ended by 2310 GMT.
