    Default fiber optic cable


    hi friends any body tell me i want use lnb to satellite reciever fiber optic cable for best signal quality r this possible r any good sagetion how i get better power full signal from lnb because i check on hotbird i use small size cable i recieve 60% signal but i come in my room with 20 meters cable i recieve only 45% signal what is problem please put light on this topic and give me suggetions to recieve good quality signal thanks

    Fibre optic cable from sat receiver to LNB is not possble. Use RG11 cable instead.

    back in the days of my VHF/UHF radio days, i use RG8 coaxial cable for less loss on the signal quality of both RX/TX signals. this can be applied also to lnbs. RG8 can tolerate up to 300 meters before you suffer significant signal loss. or otherwise, put a line amplifier after the diseqc switch.

    (anybody is free to rebuke the use of RG8 for lnb lines).

    RG8 has 50 ohms impedance and used for radio communications, but for video broadcast you must use 75 ohms.

    Use a RG8 "TFC" or "Finolex" Cable. Both these have very low resistance to the signal flow.
