    Default BER Disturbing DM 500

    Hi

I have DM 500 S, and two LNBs are connted with that. In the day time I am not getting Nilesat but at the same time there is no problem with Arabsat. I noticed that in the menu for SAT Find, the quality and strength for Nilesat is OK, but BER is increasing and decreasing. But in the evening when it becomes 0 nilesat works fine. Can anybody suggest me some solution.

    Thanks

    Default BER Problem

    BER means Bit Error Ratio

When you see higher values of BER, it means that the signal is not stable. Pls mention your location and size of your dish and whether is it on center or side lnb.

I will be able to guide you better

My location is in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, I am using small dish normally used with DTH reciever and there is only one LNB on the dish. LNB is fixed at some some extent below to centre of the dish.

    Thanks for your support.

you have to retune your dish properly as most digital boxes will get signal when dm500s cannot lock and sync.

nilesat is viewable even with a 45cm dish here in the gulf area.
