    Default WiMax tower causing the problem!

    Hey everyone....

    Well I have been going through this problem since last 4,5 months and tried searching the net for some solution but wasn't successful, though I'd ask here if someone might be able to help.

    Well recently a WiMax internet tower had been installed on the top of my building and since the day the provider has started operating it, I've been going through this no-signal problem in my all C band lnb/dishes AsiaSat 3 and IntelSat.... Alot of people had been complaining regarding that but since it has to do with Asian community, those local authority hasn't been doing anything about it at all...

    Now I just want to know is there anyway to receive signals on my dish? AND PLEASE IF ANYONE OF YOU WANTS GIVE THE ONE LINE ANSWER TO ME LIKE "MOVE TO ANOTHER LOCATION", etc then please no need to reply Those who are sincere to provide any info or help can reply otherwise I don't need any spamming ones!

    Thank you

    Regards,

    Sohaib

    there has been a LOT of topics related to this, and yes... moving to another location is the best option. or bring down the tower.

    some say put some "filter" or collar around your lnb to "isolate" the signal/noise. but you will mostly fail in that endeavor as well.

    @Bangalore,
    I have tried similar products and they work, depending on the extent of wimax
    interference, you might use lnb alone and ok, or if extensive add the filter.

    Yes I have one on one of my c-band dishes at the moment, The other dish with the normal C band LNB constantly drops out , or locks up.

    But as I said they are expencive, 4 or 5 times the price of a normal one.

    But at the end of the day, You only get what you pay for.
