    Default Mediastar Hi Tech help agn


    hi,

    I am trying to clone a mediastar hi tech to another mediastar hitech. Gives me an error of "version mismatch".
    Will somebody help me hw I can make both rcvr versions the same?

    master rcvr:
    main version : 1.62 G6C5M1S2
    boot version : 1.30
    data version : 21
    last updated : 2005/7/11

    slave rcvr:
    main version: 1.49 G6C3M1S3
    boot version : 1.25
    data version : 0X8
    last update : 2004/5/10

    hi m8,

    version mismatch means not having the same firmware, why dont u try pc to stb download the one with old firmware dated 2004/5/10

    and remember, there r 2 types of hitech, 1 is hitech and the other 1 is hitech-s, maybe from that point u can have it updated

    hi roger,

    download the firmware here

    experiment which file is suitable for ur old receiver, try hitec-11jul2005.zip or hitec-s-11jul2005.zip

    Thanks for your instructions. Experimented with the two files, and found the correct file for my stb. Now i learned another important thing because of your guidance.
