    Default DREAMBOX-the ideal one


    What should be the ideal Dreambox have as its qualities?
    Please contribute:
    I feel it should have;

    1. Recording capability
    2. USB 2
    3. wi-fi
    4. small in size
    5. Sata Hard Drive
    6. Built in fan
    7. twin tuner-where you can watch one while recording another

    Please add your requests-and give the reasons too.

    Also Its should be with automated wireless card splitting technology as in smartwi. please have a look here..!

    and you all think dream multimedia visits this site? or if they do, listen to you?

    wake up........ there are other receivers out in the market much more capable than dreamboxes and have all those features you listed.

    once you have a wifi-enabled box, then smartwi is rendered useless since you can share from box to box direct using emus.

    HD receivers don't come cheap, i hope you know that already. there are a LOT of manufacturers offering HD capable receivers, from nanoxx, hivion, homecast, or the darkbox from alsat almost has all the features you all requested in a box. triple dragon still does not have HD, but dreambox HD.... come on.... you can buy 3 other HD receivers for a single DM HD.

    yes that is true, but smartwi is using universal decrypting system all encrypted smartcards, thus if a STB manufacturers could copy that system and introduce to their models would be much more appreciated.

    qbox has wifi. qbox has diablo cam enabled. diablo cam supports card splitting. need i say more?

    all they have to do is tweak the firmware.... and there you go... smartwi capability.

    if so, Qbox II will catch up the market very soon. only drawback is less software supporting forums for Qbox.

    that's because of the rev 2.3 "upgrade" that duolabs came out with, lol.
