    Talking New QBox Linux STB with Advanced Features


    QBox linux receiver OF DUOLABS
    QBox (Light Version), QBOX is the name of the Set Top Box and it's really something new. It is a Linux based decoder powered by an IBM 2500 250 Mhz chip kernel 2.6.17 - external alimentation 12 volt and OS. Only 6 x 23 x 15 cm in size (it's really very small). The box has a lot of extra features when compared to the main competitors.

    • Sharp Tuner Blind Scan
    • One Tuner dtt dvb
    • Diablo inside (compatible with the Diablo emulator support) you don't need to update the VAR-Key with a ftp program, you will be able to update the Diablo emulator with a specific file from Stealth team using USB-Wireless-or Ethernet
    • Enigma osd
    • Recording with an external USB disk
    • 3 USB ( one in front panel for fast connection to media USB, one on the back panel for external HD and a mini USB for connection with a pc
    • 2smartcard reader
    • Ethernet
    • Streaming delayer
    • 2Scart
    • Safe boot memory(you can't damage the bootloader)

    Price is mentioned at the bottom of the Description, and its like a Advanced Dreambox, supports all the Emulations.

    M8 , plz. explain me what's the usage of "USB 2.0 port for PVR" ? On of up coming receiver will have that port but don't understand well how to use.

    the usb port is for attaching external hard disk drives.

    MIGHT come in handy for multiboot too. but this box is quite young, let's wait and see what it does in the future.

    M8, That you can connect additional external USB HDD. and USB key board, USB Flash drive and etc.
