    My Friend though you are not specific, in which sat you are refering these channels, I hope My explanation below will at least touch your need;

    1. Nilesat 102

    In this sat we have MBC (UAE), MBC 2(UAE), MBC 3, and MBC 4 at 11938V SR 27500. Beam for this channels is Middle East as shown below;

    Kenya is not covered at all.

    2. Eutelsat w3a

    Here we have MBC 1, and MBC 2 (Mauritius) at 11190V sr 3210. Beam is Africa as shown below;

    Under this beam, Kenya is covered well. There are a lot of good progams in these TV channels.

    Don't know which of 7W or 26E is easier to get in Kenya. Can tell you only that the footprints are too pessimistic at least regarding the coverage over Europe (up to Scotland-Scandinavia it's possible) and Western Africa: http://web.dxsatcs.66.sk/php66/index.php?str=4&spr=6
    Further on it might play a role if you are located in Northern Kenya or in the South.

    thanks deepbluesky and others, I have tried this MBc channels but didnt get any on Badr 26 and 30 deg,
    but have the two or so mentioned on eutel w3 fta.
    Not easy getting any of the ku channels on Badr.
    I assume the nearest possible is Northern Uganda as Ugasat mentioned with a 12 footer on ku, but not Kenya for Mbc3,4 and 5.

    Default Badr 26

    With a 120cm ku dish in northern kenya i.e lodwar, kakuma and upwards to Sudan you receive all the Channels including the MBC packages.

    Thanks Lagat,
    looking at lodwar and northern Uganda, they are at about the same levels.
    What do you think - if lodwar can get it on 120cm ku, why cant Nairobi get it on a 8ft to 12ft ku.
    How about Kisumu on 6ft ku? Kitale on 6ft?
    Lets try and see the results for those residents before we go to Msa
    Plus can we hear from anyone resident in Lodwar.
