GlobeCast's World TV Inks FiOS Carriage Deal
World TV, a division of GlobeCast, said it is launching 14 of its international channels on Verizon FiOS TV.

Specifically, GlobeCast and World TV said they are providing Verizon with rights, content aggregation, encoding and encryption as well as fiber delivery of the programming.

The offerings on FiOS include RTR Planeta from Russia, KISB and three other channels from Korea, Arabic-language Kuwait and MBT, CTN and TVK from Cambodia, BN and NTV from the Balkan region, Public TV of Armenia, Pro TV and RSC1 from Romania, and Portugal's RTPi.

GlobeCast also said it's in discussions with several other cable operators, telcos and broadband TV providers in North America for carriage of its content.
