    It's satellite TV not cable TV as per your title

    Keys can be read from the original cards and posted on the net

    But you haven't answer my question yet. How do those staying in Hong Kong get the key for the their digital cable ? There must be some way that they can do it right.

    the keys are being supplied to them, or they were provided AU dvb-C devices. the manner and method to key encryption and decryption is also a wonder to me, and i have given up asking people on how to go about this process.

    as humble of my knowledge i think for the hk cable tv there are au cards available with the receiver in the market,and beside au card they also have some funny stuff like a (cam)or u can say a card slot which have
    0-9 and A,B,C,D,E,F, buttons its a key editor for the card not for the auto card,its mean whenever the key changes they have to find out the new key which is available on the net and then they have to input that key manually using the key editor (the card slot).

    for reading the key from a card u have to unlock the card first and then u can use a card programmer to read the key.

    @jeff_chuck_2000

    in your place is there any devices like which i have mentioned for hk cable tv...?
