Exclamation Watch Dreambox channels on your Nokia Phone !!

Watch Dreambox channels on your Nokia Phone (works on all symbian phones)

Hi. Here's how you stream from dreambox to your phone. In this example a nokia n95.

    Use Dreamview.
Go to Options, prefrences, Stream Output Sting.

    Use this string:
    :sout=#transcode{vcodec=mp4v,vb=256,acodec=mp4a,ab =128,channels=2,audio-asy
    n,width=320,height=240}:duplicate{dst=display,dst= std{access=http,mux=asf,d
    st=ypur-pcs-iport}} :sout-all

der vb= video bitrate, ab = audio bitrate.

your-pcs-iport (remember to change this to your pcs IP & port)

You can now use Coreplayer on you N95 to play this. open URL og write http://your-pcs-iport

It will play with perfect quality.

This will work on all Nokia/Symbian phones. I havent tried Gprs or wifi but Im assuming itll be the same.

Remember if you're outide your home network & you wanna do this, you have to open the port you specify in the string, in your router!

    Enjoy

    Saludos

If it uses free WLAN connection (supported phone model) & then GPRS cost is not involved.

    thanks.
it's quite funny to watch your tv channels on your phone if you are on your own wifi coverage, when you can simply turn on the tv and watch comfortably, lol.

this thread was supposed to point to people who want to stream to their phones while AWAY from their homes, not within the coverage of their wlan.

I often use my Nokia to browse the net whilst in the Bedroom or garden (over the WiFi)...so I think that watching your TV on your phone (over your WiFi) when you are upstairs or outside could be quite useful.
