Hispasat 1E for Loral Space Systems?

Spain's satellite operator Hispasat has given its new Hispasat 1E construction license to American manufacturer Loral Space Systems instead of European EADS-Casa or Thales Alenia, according to sources.
But according to other sources Hispasat denies having signed a definite contract for the satellite.

Just in the middle of the fighting between American and European space industry Hispasat's president Petra Mateos made the decision in favour of the American industry. Nevertheless EADS and Thales will be in charge of the technical project whereas Loral Space Systems will subcontract the manufacturing. A total of €120 million is at stake in this operation, €80 million of which will go to launch company Arianespace.
