I dont think there is a problem unless you want to receive the scrambled channels free, get the pay cards. and many receivers will work perfectly

Forget it...most providers do not sell their sub cards outside their home country for copyright reasons. Hacking and pirating often the only solution.

More, try reading a copy of Wot-Sat magazine. where a multitude of subscription cards are advertised for sale.

Most providers are indeed prevented from selling subscriptions to those outside their home countries. Try calling Multichoice from Australia or even Sky Digital in the UK and inquire about a subscription and you will quickly realise that.

Jim will sell me a Multichoice subscription card any time I request one.. The only problem is we don't have access to Aglia 2 satellite on the eastern coast of Australia, and there is only very limited coverage in WA.

As for the BskyB service, hardly worth while considering we once again can't access the satellite, plus the fact there service is NDS and it's a different system to out Fox service.

    .............................

The fact remains that NONE of the major providers sell subscriptions outside their home country. Not a single one.....simply because it is unlawful for them to do so for copyright reasons. The program producers licence providers to sell their channels in their country and not outside it, thus making money in each home country .
Buy a card from Jim at your own risk but it will be sold at a price far higher than the home subscription price and should Multichoice find out, it will be cancelled immediately as it is an unlawful purchase.
The European Parliament recognised this fact and their model law on pirating (to be adopted by the various EU countries ) states that where a bouquet or service cannot be legally sold in a particular EU country it shall not be a criminal offence to hack/pirate that service for personal use, the principle being what cannot be sold cannot be stolen.

As to your question about cards and the availability or non-availability, As I said in an earlier post, simply read a copy of the English Wot-sat magazine, and you will find all sorts of subscription cards listed, and also a plethora of porn subscription cards, but to satisfy myself that the information I was posting was correct, I perused a copy of the aforementioned magazine and came up with the following.
I have not supplied companies names or address, or web sites for these products, as I have no intention to advertise, or be accused of "spamming" this forum with products.

Zee TV UK , Zee TV Europe, ABSat France, Canalsatellite France, Canal Plus France, Teleplu Italy,
Streams Itely, Nova Greece, Digiturk Turkey, TV Cabo Portugal, NTV Russia, Czechlink Cz Rep, TV1000-Viasat Norway, Televisa Mexico, Via Digital Spain, SVT Europa Sweden, TVN Chile, Multichoice Africa,
    Orbit UAE, and Showtime UAE.

All the above are available via a UK distributor, And all anyone needs is access to the appropriate satellite.
