Default New DTH platform for Hungary

Hungary will see the launch of a third DTH platform on May 1. Local reports suggest the service will be known as Hello HD and offer viewers a mix of high definition and standard definition channels, the former including new launch Eurosport HD, HBO HD, Nat Geo HD and Filmbox HD.
It will be distributed from the Eutelsat Eurobird 9 at 9 degrees East and employ Conax conditional access. The satellite is already used by the Portugese operator TVTel and the African facing DTH concern GTV.
Hungary is already served by the DTH platforms UPC Direct and Digi TV.
