    Default DM500S ethernet port problem

I have a friend who has his DM500S Ethernet port got burnt or something due to lightning.

Is there anything he can do to get it repair? Is it replaceable? Is there any other way to give the internet to the DM without that port?

Better leave it to the professional (STB tech), aside from the fact that you don't have the necessary tools to do it! Ask him also to install a lightning arrester in your place, in case nobody is arround to disconnect appliances suceptible to tanscient voltage created during thunder storms!
