It won't stop even if the so called upgrading servers are gone. you still can do the exact same thing by yourself either manually or automagically by having your own server.

    I have a Humax 5400 receiver.
from what i understood here, it still can be used with the help of a pc running in parallel with it and connected to the internet, what is called card sharing...
    Question #1:
What is the best software and protocol to use with my poor humax to start with the new card sharing world...I am completely lost here, i need a protocol which i can rely on, no picture breaking.
I do not have any original card to share with the others so i do not mind to pay if needed!
is it possible to use card sharing with humax without the use of a pc? like maybe a router and any additional external hardware? maybe:dance:
    Question #2:
what is obvious is that dreambox is now the leader in the receiver's market. Which dreambox model number do you advice me to buy and to start with?
what about DREAM BOX DM500 S
    Thanks in advance!

Protek 9600 IP, Linksat LS 900, NanoXX 9600 IP, Atlanta FunBox, Techstar DVS 6600 IP and the new comer Maxx 1000 are all manfuactured by Advanced Multimedia Technology http://www.amt.co.kr
