    Default NEED HELP FOR TOSHIBA A60 SATELLITE LAPTOP


    Dear RDI friends,

    Recently i have bought a TOSHIBA A60 SATELLITE LAPTOP which dosen't have a COMPORT only USB.

    What additional equipment for COMPORT i need to buy to use my LAPTOP for upgrading receivers..?

    As i have seen some USB>>>COMPORT converter in the market but i want to make sure which one is the best.

    TOSHIBA A60 SATELLITE

    INTEL PENTIUM 4/2.8/60GB/WIRELESS SUPER G 802.11

    any comments...?

    you can buy any usb-serial comport adapter as most of them are using the prolific chips, then use the supplied driver or download one from the manufacturer site. i am personally using a Toshiba, with prolific usb-serial adapter, pl2303 drivers i think for xp.

    I am using windows xp also,so what do u think that kind of adapter will work for upgrading software to receivers...?

    can u pls tell what should i need to buy i want the perfect one which is suitable for my laptop it dosen't matter how expensive it is.

    as i said, ANY usb serial adapter should work, and the most common chips they use is the one from prolific company.
