    Default Dish TV V-Polarity problem

    Hi all,

Lately for a week or so, the V polarity TPs like 12535 V are disappearing for a time, Some times the whole day! Yesturday- Saturday i.e i was watching 'Mind Your Language' on Zee cafe at around 9:55 AM suddenly all 3 vertical TP's on my zenega 1006s shows no signel. The day before yesturday the same thing happened and the signel returned yesturday morning. But since yesturday all the V tps are missing!

Can anybody tell me what is wrong?

Bad cable or bad lnb might be the reason.

I suspected that. But are you sure this maynot arise due to alignment problems? I want to try and eliminate the possible causes so i can come to the problem.
Thanks so much Lnb15k for the answer

wait for others to confirm if they have missed the V signals too. otherwise, your problem is isolated and may be because of the reasons stated by lnb15k.

I was always under the impression that dish network used circular polarisation, or is that only on the North American system.

Good lesson to learn, next time we find Transponders missing suddenly, we know what to check for first!

I tried to buy a new LNB today, when it stuck me that I am able to recieve all V polarity TPs from Insat 4b. But i am not able to receive any V polarity TP's from NSS6.

Skew is correct? Also some times bad cables create these kinds of stupid problems.
