    Default Ethernet Bridge

I have bought US Robotics ethernet bridge to connect my dreambox satellite receiver to the adsl network I already have. My adsl router is in one room. I connected the bridge to the router via supplied cable, installed software and my computer identified the mac address of the bridge. Now i configured as "infrastructure" and it was ok.

Now I removed the bridge from the router, placed it 3 meters away from it.
I connected my dreambox to the bridge via supplied cable and tried to connect to the adsl. It doesnt work!

Can someone tell me where i went wrong?

I managed to find where it went wrong.
Changed the bridges IP address to static and it did the trick.
Now I can take the dreambox to different rooms as a wireless device.
    Great !

Its really a great effort and the effort is worth when you get the results. I have 3 Dishes connected to three TVs in 3 rooms. Now with one router can connect the dreambox and wtach tvs without the hassle of wires entagling all over.

But the user guide or troubleshooting did not give the tip !

WDS really needs a fix ip, since they have to relay the signal from the router to get the dns! Bridge can be used also as a WIFI extenter, extending the range of the area it could cover!
