    @Mangalore
    Let me tell you something about this dish.

    I bought it in Dec06 for receiving satellites like Hotbird etc... But unfortunately, I'm not able to find them till now.

    But some +ve things about this dish are :
    40% increment in signal strength(KU) when compared to my 12FT mesh dish.

    So, if you are planning to buy this dish for Hotbird, then don't!

    @yesudas
    I think its not possible to receive Astra with this dish(I haven't tested it).

    Hi Alan,

    Thanks for the information. But I am not buying it for HotBird! I have given up on Hb's Long time ago! I just want it for C-Band TP's on sats such as IS 10/7, Thaicom 5. I already have a 90 cms MCBS dish with KU band LNB off which I am receiving ABS-1. I am heavily loosing signal these days. The max signal i am receiving is 40%. Whereas from Edusat I am receiving Signal around 75 - 80%. There is no problem when there is no rain. Once the rain starts.. we all know the story. I just want try ABS out with a bigger dish... Also look out in the skies for more of those channels, which i have never seen before. In short I am buying this for experimentation.

    Well, thats good. Forget Hotbird if you don't have atleast 12FT Solid Prime focus. I would have found Hotbird's analog channels but I don't have analog KU band receiver.

    By the way, I was receiving 99% signal from ABS1(South Beam) using that dish.

    Now my next target is Atlantic Bird at 7W. I will be trying it in coming days.
