    its not the softwarefile ie *.bin but rather the reciever *.rom file that im after as i think i have bricked it/

    i think you need to "defibrillate" your receiver..... is the receiver "dead" no response or you can't see anything on the front panel or even your tv?

    it sounds like you corrupted the program, right?!. you need to JTAG your receiver to revive it. i haven't done any JTAGing in any receiver yet so i don't have an idea how to do it in actual but i can re-direct you how to JTAG see this thread:
