    Default Encryption - MCATS

    Hi,
    Can anyone give me some information on this? Is it like videoguard (card married to box) or is it something that one can decrypt with the right card and STB. Also, what decoders address this encryption?
    Thanks in advance for your input

    From googling,
    I get this to be a server to server encryption system,
    though can have many additions.plus used by peer to peer.
    Plus uses particular SRBs for the system,
    one using the system could actualy say whether
    cards are involved or just srbs,
    Just try and go through this, though quite long, gives an idea;

    I appreciate all the answers.
    I am not sure whether I understood your reply. I asked my friend to remove the card to see if it works without the card (with just the receiver). The answer is No.
