    He meant PCMCIA

But my suggestion would be to buy a USB version. Because you will be able to use it with your PC also.

haven't seen any much feedback on that product either, not in dvb-s support forums, etc. so i am much in doubt if this device actually will run smoothly or if it does run, i'd assume pure FTA (translate: useless).

One point about the USB versions of the receiver cards, discussed on the forum a while ago, is that the older ones use the slower USB1 standard, while newer ones like the Starbox use USB2. At the time Boknoy was saying that there wasn't really a problem with USB1, but I see the Starbox is now top of his list. I still haven't really been able to compare performance, but I wondered if Boknoy has reassessed the situation? With HDTV on the horizon, it seems to make sense to go for USB2, but I don't know whether the makers of SS2 have a new model in the pipeline.

lol, it's not on top of my list. i simply stated what came to my mind first. yes, HDTV is on the horizon and both devices work on them with a mix and match of codecs and drivers. not so fluid as a real HDTV decoder, but maybe when HDTV becomes mainstream, then we can expect updates on those products.
