Question Suggest a Good C-Band LNBF

    Hi Friends

I'm going attach a C-Band LNBF to my 120cm offset Ku-Band dish to try my luck to get the strong C-Band signals falling over my region.

So request you to suggest a good brand+performance C-Band LNBF, which can be available in India. I was looking at Eurostar ESCD 600 (http://www.eurostar-digital.com/inde...136&Itemid=188) and request you to suggest other good options. Hope dual polarity means I need not have to rotate the LNBF for L-R/H-V signals like universal Ku-Band LNBF. But its noise figure is HIGH 20degree K, where as the current treand is may be 12/13degree K !

    Hope to get useful replies.

    Friends

Its strange that no reply to this thread
Is it a out of context query ?

BTW, I have approached a local shop here and he is asking Rs 750/- (INR) for Colorado C-Band LNBF of 15 degree K temp. But I'm not sure whether th is of dual polarity/universal.

Any suggestions for good quality C-Band LNBF and price in INR ?

Dual polalirity on C band means V and H is present, while single polarity can come like V only or H only lnb, though i have only seen V only.
so for dual you dont have to rotate anything, and doesnt need that polarity change motor that sits on the lnb back.

    Hallo urpradhan,
If the said "Colorado C-Band LNBF of 15 degree K temp" is having with a feedhorn fixedly attached to the LNBF it should be dual polarity.

As Selvaraj said it may be dual polarity. There are no universal lnbs in C band

here is info from lyngsat for yamal 202 at 49.0°E:

    1.3982 L tp 7A.

What does L mean? Does it mean we need linear c band lnb?

It is for AsiaSat 3S at 105.5°E:

    1.3640 H tp 1H.

What does H mean? Is it horizontal polarisation?

    2.23647 V tp 1V

What does V mean? Is it vertical polarisation?

Do i need dual band lnbf to receive 1.3640 H tp 1H. and 2.23647 V tp 1V at the same time

No. L = Left Circular polarisation. There are feedhorns for it or else you can use Teflon plate.

You need dual output lnb for V & H seperately to get both of the at the same time.

    Question

    Friends
    Thank you for ur contribution.
But still I'v ethe same doubt

See, some years ago I was using my 8ft C-Band dish and a C-Band LNB to receive signals for Doordarsan @ 83E that time I used to get the signal of TB6 from the Russian satellite (I donot the name) with slight change of the direction of dish. And to receive V/H signals I used to rotate the LNB manually to 90 degree.

So, my question is can we have a C-Band LNBF (with feedhorn attached) having single STB output and can carry both the V+H signals, so that we need not have to change the direction of the LNB either manually/motorised ? Which is similar to Ku-Band LNBFs, which can carry both polarisation signals. If yes, what we will call to that LNBF ?

    Thanx

    dear urpradan,

very well u can use c-band LNBF for receiving v-h-frequencies without rotating the lnbf(lnb with feed-LNBF), that is available in chennai, colorodo lnbf is very good lnbf as i know, i used it long time back. u can see the lnbf in my dish pic which i was posted. so if u want to receive the circular polarity(for yamal, express,nss703)- we can use teflon plate in the mouth of the lnbf.

    bye
