Your dish is too small. I use a 1.8m solid because where I live we get rain of up to 200mm per hour during typhoons.

So you should change your dish. that is the only way to improve your signals in bad weather.

Agreed he needs a larger dish....3 **** is ridiculously small. Even with a 12 footer, picture not ok all the time in Bangkok ! Your answer is speak to the local sat dealers in your location....they should know what size you need.

    hi patthai

    check it out on http://www.satthai.tv/
they sit in bkk and are very reliable and honest they have nothing to do with satthai in phuket. I've got a 2.40m solid prime focus antenna from them years ago. but have to say even in heavy rain the signal runs wide. my location is about 400km to 700 km more south therefore the signal gets more weak.

    good luck

there's nothing one can do with the effects of weather be it rain, clouds, worse snow; booster won't do any good since it will boost only what your dish gets, including noise!

Exactly ! Please read what I wrote SPEAK to your local dealers.....did not suggest theyb put up a dish for you
They are in a position to say what size you really need....nobody else can give you that info .

Also in my region I didn't get when heavy rains or heavy clouds ... I can get 80% signal in good weather with 2.5 feet UBC dish. But it's go down when heavy rains... I tested on my 8 ft dish and I can watch on heavy rains with 61% of signal on 12541 but sometimes I can't.
As for me I don't use my 8 ft dish to watch dream and I shut down my STB when heavy rains.lol:

    Hope it'll help u anyway.

    Default signal strength meters

Sorry to disappoint you all but the percentages for signal you all quote have ABSOLUTELY NO VALUE other than as a comparison for transponders in the same box !
Every make has a different strength meter reading What gives a picture at 30 percent on one make of receiver may be 60 percent on a different box.
Check it out yourself on two different boxes using the lnb out function to feed the second box.

every receiver brand has a different tuner which is more or less sensitiv in it's gain and quality. as an example with the metabox I sometimes in raining weather conditions got still a picture where other receivers like expl. the atlanta give up already.
I think everybody in thailand will have maybe except in the north (northeast)
signal problems with dre*m in heavy rain weather.
a 7m dish should do it - with that on even some hotbirds can be receivable.
