    Default DreamBox from China?

A friend of mine had ordered a dreambox from http://www.fbosm.com
After the money went to them they say they have to pay the Customs another 150$ and asking this money extra!
Is there any sincerity in this demand?
Is this the procedure in China?
Does anyone know about this company?
    Their skype is fbosm
    Thanks

Customs duties can be assesed at import. So maybe it's customs not the retailer asking for the duty. Where I live up to 33% import taxes can be added to satellite receiver imports.

The payment of import dusty is understandable. This is an "Export" duty. They call it "Maritime export duty"
This is how he words it!
If now don't pay the expenses of USD 150 for maritime customs, you will can not accept the merchandise!

Well if so they should say so on their site before you order.

I've bought receivers from China and never paid this so called export duty.

No the EMS charges were quoted as 20 Euros. This was already paid.

I don't think it will be easy to get satellite receivers in Singapore because they are not allowed to use them in that country. And so there is no local market. Even if there are export only delaers, the range of receivers will be limited.

Dear Cruiser , if so no one can't use satellite dish in Singapore or not? Or are people watching Cable TV?

    Thanks.
