B92 wins Superbrand award in Serbia

Belgrade’s Sava Center yesterday evening hosted a prestigious marketing event – a Superbrands ceremony. The title is awarded in 60 countries worldwide and honours brands that have high quality and are recognizable, consistent and dominate the market. Superbrand Serbia 2006 saw 2,800 brands compete in 34 categories.
B92 TV, Radio and Internet won the award as Serbia’s superbrand in the electronic media category. Head of B92 marketing department Milivoje Čalija told journalists after the event that his company has been awarded many times for its achievements in promoting free and independent journalism and human rights. “This, however, is one of the rare awards that promote B92 in a different, specific light. This is very important to us, since we invest a lot of work and energy into developing B92 as a brand,” Čalija said.
