Default Visionet Service Stops 9pm Gmt 4 April 4

With a loud crack, the last remaining encrypted bouquet viewable in Thailand on server 47ff stopped and went over from "successful to "searching".
Will it come back again ?
Nobody knows for sure but local dealers are reportting the imminent introduction of a subscription service in Thailand for this box.
Any similar reports on bouquets previously viewable in Australia ?

    Pimpin....tam dee ...great job !
As once mentioned, it says 'searching' after it comes back, so you MUST do a network setup every hour to know if its back or not.
I've just done this and not only is it back ...but WITH HBO..the one channel on the Gold bouquet that was missing last week .
You Pimpin must be the mysterious server
ps Sky news still working well on Intelsat 902 . Quite interesting to test the signal with different boxes as sometimes a box shows no signal but another box with a more sensitive tuner will show the channel.

Same with my Echostar so fed the signal through to my much more modern Kaon box where the signal shown was around 65 percent quality. In addition when no signal from the echostar I still get a picture from the kaon even if a little unstable somtimes !
The ideal for this satellite is of course is use a circular polarity feed horn as this will double signal strength. One can insert a dielectic teflon plate into the feed horn and this will have the same effect.
The drawback is it will halve the strength of the V & H transponders when you watch most other transponders. !
Strange that even in the heyday of c-band nobody came up with a solution to change linear polarity to circular and vice versa without having to physically access the feedhorn to change it.

Sadly you cannot access Thaicom KU and we cannot access Intel -8 KU to check .
    A pity really.
