    Default Connection Cable-USB to RS232(Female)

Hi....when we are upgrading the receiver to computer, as I know, we have to use cable RS232(both female). I would like to know, is it possible to use USB to RS232? Is it working succesfully?

yeps, same thing here. using the prolific usb-serial adaptor and drivers. been using this for several months now (lappie has no serial port) on metabox, nhe, fortec, neotionbox, etc. basically all receivers willwork with it, even have an assortment of nullport cables now since i update several brands (others will require male or female cross cable, others will take only straigth pin config). it costs around 6 dollars only.

what do you mean not working? try going to control panel/system/device manager/ports/ from there, edit from the advanced options the comport assignment of your usb-serial device. usually it will be assigned on comport 4, thus maybe your software is looking at comport 1 or 2, so configure it accordingly.
