Default Why is There no "official" GMA Channel in the Midd

Anybody knows come there is no actual presence of GMA in the Middle East? The one being promoted by Orbit is not the real GMA Pinoy TV that is in the US,Guam and Japan.

Orbit is just buying the program of GMA to capture the Pinoy audience in the middle east. Orbit package is quite expensive and when digital era came out, their sales drop tremendously. One way to survive is to add flavor to their package but sad thing the programming is old. During early viewing of Pinoy Plus you can even watch Toni Gonzaga in GMA while she is now in ABS. Wait for sometime and GMA will go on solo in the middle east according to source.

last december, i chanced upon a GMA7 employee at the airport, and we talked about the satellite broadcasts of GMA7. he told me that they will start in the US and others, and pending results from that venture, they will soon broadcast in Mid-east. remember, this is what happened to TFC before, it was syndicated thru satellite/cable operators, not only here in middle-east (showtime) but also in american cable networks. now TFC is a full blown satellite operation, and so will GMA7, which is being syndicated by Orbit as of this time.

i don't know if this has been posted here arlready but i found this somewhere on the net:

    Kaibigang Jerry,

We will definitely take careful note of all that you have said.
We may not be there yet but you can expect us to be there within the year.

    Daniel K. Elma
