Unfortunately I don't have a programmer. Can I use some voltage applied on the pins? But what voltage and what pins? I know that this a distructive way but I don't care, the target is to erase complete the card.

I was thinking at another solution, to "cook" it at microwave. What do you think?

I have to return the satellite card to provider and some data memorized on the card could be sensitive. That's the reason!
So, the card should not be vizible damaged ...

if the provider own that card there's no reason for you to destroy it. it's their property anyway. unless you did something in that card they might find out and void your warranty or something, hmmmm?!......

Then return it to the provider and they will erase the data.

    Wink

if you wanted to destroy the data inside, without any visible damage outside (unintentional) subject it to high magnetic force! example the one use in erasing data tape (bulk eraser of mainframe computer)

get a 9V battery (surely you know this bttery type) put a wire on both terminals +positive -negative. on the other end of the wires just expose alittle copper wire on them. the trick is to touch every contacts on the card i mean each and every contacts. apply that 9volt battery (+ and -) to every contact reverse every touch of contacts. for sure it will short circuit that microprocessor inside that card. and render the card unreadable to the card reader. in short word corrupt data
