    Default Key Format

I'm sure that this isn't a new question but I can't find the answer anywhere:

The format of the keys in my reciever look like this:

    I ** ** *****AB*EC****C* where the *'s are numbers.

I have found keys that look like this:

    D* 3* ** *E *C *B ** FF *F ** ** F* FE ** ** BB

    and like this

    B *A*F ** **C*EE******E******B*DD*C*****FE

How to I convert them? Can I put them in a softcam.key with an editor?

    Thanks

    Default Clear up confusion

    The encryption is Ir**to.

The keys that are already in my reciever look like this.

    I 00 00 02** *AB*EC****C*

I have found keys that look very different, but are supposed to be suitable for ****** channels. They are in the following two formats:

    D* 3* ** *E *C *B ** FF *F ** ** F* FE ** ** BB
    and
    B *A*F ** **C*EE******E******B*DD*C*****FE

Can I convert these so that they look like the one above.

    I hope this is clearer,

u can be more than specific with "The encryption is Ir**to." try to give also the details of what type or brand of receiver you're actually mentioning. STB's are not all the same w/ regards to s/w. you need the exact software version for your receiver. and most probably you need to upgrade your s/w version to make it work properly.

Ok - sorry. I have a SAB Explorer PVR (Satcatcher Voyager III). I have no problem transferring keys to it - I have updated the software and use a keyupdater to transfer the softcam.key to my receiver. The problem is in the format of the keys. How do I make the keys look like the ones that my receiver recognises.

    thanks again
