Ten Alps Digital signs Peace Channel deal
Friday, February 2nd, 2007

Ten Alps Digital has signed a deal to develop proposals for a global broadband Peace Channel. Planning to launch in 2008, it would include video, user-generated content and social networking features. The project is being funded by Point of Peace, which is based in Stavanger and which supports the Nobel Peace Laureates Follow-on Programme. Point of Peace believes that the service could attract substantial financial support from international organisations.

Ten Alps Digital has been commissioned to draw up a detailed blueprint for the service – covering programme production, design, technical systems, marketing, and a business plan. A decision to launch the full service will be taken in the Autumn. The project team will include Bob Geldof, the Ten Alps Non-Executive Director, Nigel Dacre, the Managing Director of Ten Alps Digital, and Brian Lapping, of Brook Lapping Productions.
