    Default Dish Consolidation - Kuwait

    Dear All,

One 5.5 ft pointing to HB. Apart from NileSAT and Arabsat what other satellite can I receive
I'm planning to put one dish for PAS7/10. What else can I receive in this Dish apart fro PAS7/10.
    I'm planning to buy a SS2 card.
    I Live in Kuwait

    Thank you
    Regards

basically, nothing else. unless you are a Filipino then you can offset nilesat with atlantic bird 3, and that's it.

as for pas7, i don't think you can put as3/insat on that dish too, so you will have pas7/10 on a single dish (others are free to correct me on this)

others have put on a single dish arabsat and turksat 42e.

i prefer to use single dish solutions on other satellites other than the first cocktail you have mentioned.

as for ss2, should cost you 15kd and above from bin khaldoun in hawally. make sure you get warranty agreement as the shops/merchants in hawally will not accept back the hardware if something goes wrong with it (bad tuners, etc). be warned that ss2 is having some issues with using two or more lnbs in a simple disecq setup. that was the reason why i returned my ss2 usb back to the shop. if you are gonna use the ss2 on a single lnb setup, your chances of success will be higher.

U can add turksat 42 on ur hotbird dish along with nilesat and arabsat plus i wud say that pas7/10 is better then asiasat 105 if u r interested in asian channels.
Plus u can receive some other sats as well but its of no use, the best is only having 4 sats on one dish which is horbird, nilesat, arabsar, turksat.
    take care.

hmmmm, now THAT is a thought. i'll try to consolidate my turksat into the HB dish and use that spare dish to try W2.

    @lovebird,

can you give the approximate calculations (in relation to the arabsat lnb in setup) where to put the turksat lnb?

i dont think you can put inthe same dish hb and turksat because it is 30 degree
apart, here in italy it is possible with the use of torridal dish

    Thank you friends.

I'm planning to Use Multiple LNBs. If ss2 has problems, is there any other card or solution.

Can anybody confirm that HB,Nilesat, Turksat and Arabsat work in the same Dish.

    Thank you

    Regards

that's great, if you can provide pictures of the setup so that others may approximate the lnb position too.

with twinhan, i did not have those kind of problems. twinhan 1020 and 1030 to be exact, though they are not in production nowadays, replaced by twinhan 102g, etc.

the risk is yours, get ss2 if you want.

    Thanks Boknoy_ph,
I think I'll go with Twinhan.
    Is it available in Kuwait.
Does the bad tuner problem still exist in Twinhans. Which sw work with Twinhan and plugins

    Thank you
