    the differences are in frequency range.
    C band has a lower freq than ku band
    on daily use on rcvr you get c band in 4 figs eg 3025Mhz
    while ku is in 5 figs eg 12650Mhz.
    while ku band uses smaller dishes & LNB , c band uses bigger dishes & LNB.

    Ku band has higher compression, hence you can receive several channels from a single transponder.

    C..band is usually used for Asian satellites but ku is for european sats mostly... (not always)

    frequency

    c band is 3.7 gh to 4.2 g that we use
    ku band is 9.75 g to about 12.75 . that we use
    the lower the frequency the bigger the dish
    ABA

    The communication system is divided into several systems. , S-band systems C-band systems Ku-band system ect ,
    C band (6GHz uplink, 4GHz downlink) Large dish Big facility Less rain attenuation ( populer in rainy area.)
    Ku band (14GHz uplink, 12GHz downlink) Small dish Compact earth station Rain attenuation (populer in US, Japan EU)

    And c band signals better than ku band on cloudy, rainy days.
