    Default Strange problem........please help

AOA. Friends I have a strange problem, please help.

    Hardware:

    2 LNB's --- 1 C-band and 1 Ku band.
    1 Startrack receiver
    1 SS2 DVB card

C-Band LNB is positioned for Insat4B at 83 degrees and Ku band LNB is positioned for NSS6 at 95 degrees.

When I connect C band LNB to my SS2 DVB card it can receive both H and V frequencies, no problem.

When I connect Ku band LNB to my SS2 card it can receive only H frequencies , no vertical frequencies are receivable. On the other hand when i connect Ku LNB to my receiver, both H and V frequencies are receivable.

PROBLEM: Why V frequecies are not receivable by my SS2 card from NSS6 whereas it can receive both H and V frequencies from Insat4B?

Please help me to identify problem.

    THANKS

whichever programme u sre using to run your ss2 on the pc has a setting for v, h and ... (altdvb, progdvb, mytheatre, dvb dream)
check that setting before scan, and choose the correct setting.
    try that

I have both AltDVB and DVBDream. Result is the same. Checked for frequencies. Its not a problem of their INI's.

on scanning, does your prog log the v and h channels or skips either v or h, and are u connected via another rcvr or lnb straight to ss2.
if all dont work then wait for any other ss2 user to help out.

this is a switching problem. are you behind a disecq? if so, check properly the values from your switch to the one on your settings. if you are not behind a switch, try turning on the 22KhZ tone burst (use mytheatre). on progdvb, try setting it up as disecq2 and see if that resolves your problem.

since you are technical you can measure when you scan v polarised freqs, does the lnb voltage change to 14, or stays at 18.
if it stays at 18 then the ss2 polarity switching is faulty and will only give max supply of 18.
    try another ss2
