Angelbox opening Multichoice (everything), Astro, DreamTV and I-sky including their 4 XXX channels. No UBC for now...

Dream, Multi and I-sky I know firsthand, Astro I can't receive over here but supposedly it opens as well...

Yeah what version firmware are you using monty?
With L345 all I can get is I-Sky-net.
    Is Telkomvision working for you?

    Firmware L345 as well...
No idea of the sub tuner's version, never updated that one. I just borrow my sat supplier's box to do a box to box upgrade, mainly to get the auto update on dreamTV going again
The a-box has been down about 2 or 3 weeks, but came on again about 4 days ago. It only worked on and of the last few days. Yesterday and today was perfect (watched F1 on SS6, although without sound) but about 2 hours ago everything went black again...

Telkomvision hasn't worked since the servers went down duing the worldcup...I-skynet worked most of the time, but since I'm only interested in sports the multichoice bird (pas 7/10) is the one I'm interested in...

It seem AGB and MDM r nearer and nearer to finish I think..... AS 4 server is not good in SEA region. But it's Ok on W3 n W6 server on west.
So, we should move to there and watch our favourite channels...lol:

Multichoice back up and running at 09:00 Sunday (GMT +7) Might have been up earlier but then I was sleaping

I do hope they can keep it running, because technically it seems to be a pretty good system!
If their CS servers are up it simply works good, with no delays at all opening channels when zapping around. Unlike the CS boxes connected through the internet (vissionnet anyway) who seem to be suffering from delays, overloads etc...

    @saas
The Angelbox works like a 'normal' cardshare box but instead of receiving the keys through the internet it receives them of a server via another satellite. That's why with these boxes you'll need two dishes.
    Hope that explains it.

These kind of servers probably only can be set-up by the makers of the boxes since the financial overhead will be pretty high.

Since the box only can receive (unlike a box which is hooked up to the internet) the servers will transmit continiously all the card share info on a TCP/IP multicast protocol through a satellite offering such service.

Normally the fees to transmit through these satellites are pretty high, so it's viable only if a company can sell lots of these boxes!

Sorry saas, I hadn't read your question properly.
Like monty says it would be quite expensive to set up.
Also the transponder hire wouldn't be cheap I'd imagine.
