    Default Skystar how to use from the start


    This is what i have learned so far

    After installing skystar2 into the computer, I then downloaded progdvb
    and then i can see the clear programmes (those not crypted)

    Now the part where i have become stuck ((((( trying to see crypted



    I have located the plugins folder
    i have downloaded vplug and semu and put them in the plugins folder

    the next step is the keys and unfortunately i donot understand what to do

    as my stb lost support for hotbird,just want to know SS2 and suppermax 6000 ci having CW,which one i should get,better for to decryp more channels on hotbird.

    both are using the same set of softcam. but SS2 offers more. you can store your films on the HDD with recording. very easy to change softwares with minimal risk of corrupting your pc, unlike STB that you risk having to JTAG your unit if your update fails. very flexible, an alternative to dreambox/tripledragon, it can do card sharing when properly configured and with supporting hardwares and cards.

    now, back to the keys question. put a softcam.key together on your plugins folder and you should be able to view the encrypted channels properly. from the plugins menu, make sure that s2emu is active and running.
