Default Please suggest, 8 feet solid OR 10 feet mesh dish?

Please brothers suggest should I go for 10 feet mesh dish in place of my current 8 feet solid dish to increase signals of Hotbird?

I currently have 8 feet solid dish and place where I live is much open (in lahore) and strong wind blows most of the time. I should not go for 10 feet solid dish because of this reason. Base had broken once already and I had to get it re-weld.

I only get 50-55% of signal Quality from first five Hotbird transponders, and only 28% for Zee transponder. Level although touches to 70%.

    Please suggest. THANKS.

wind loading is almost negligible. just get a solid dish, and try to sheild it from the wind by placing it somewhere near a wall or tree. just make sure it does not obscure your line of sight towards the satellite.

Mesh dish is recommended for C Band signals and a Fibre or metallic dish is more suitable for KU Band singals.
I'm using a 9 feet solid fixed dish (not fibre)in same vicinity and signals or direction never disturb in heavy wind or rain. However signals strength keep on changing.I'm getting 100% result of 11662,11681 and many other TPs.

    Dear Friends!
I have 8ft fiber dish with 99% signals of 12360 & 12476 is 70%. I have near about 1100 VIDEO Channels of Hotbird.
Therefore is suggest you to buy this dish or 9ft Ku Dish.
