I would like to know from the experts out here if the relook 400S is ok in terms of software support as I am planning to get this dual tuner linux stb.
Hardware specifications wise, it is comparable to a db7025S just a lot cheaper. Just don't know about the software support if it is a good as dreambox.

you should actually look all around the net for software support b4 purchase, or the seller should be bold enough to share info with you about support.
still you looking on the net would be best.

I have a coworker who owns a worldbox 8 and he has to go to the dealer to have the software updated for a fee. If you calculate the cost of updating it will be more than the cost of a legal subscription to showtime.

Any box that relies on cardsharing will only be as good as the service it receives from the server. When the server goes down, customers will be pissed of. In this world you usually get what you pay for. So if you buy a (reasonably) cheap box without ongoing server fees then you can only hope the service will last long enough to get your moneys worth.
I have an Angelbox (for which the server was down for awhile but came back to life again) and I also have a Visionnet. Both these boxes have a "free" server, meaning there are no ongoing costs for service (maybe just software upgrades which have been free)
The service on both my boxes is not always reliable.
If you want something that's reliable I suggest you either set up your own server with some friends and share the cost of a subscription or join a "pay for service" server.

Those who know about satellites and systems never want to buy anything trouble free, as i have found out.
they must have something to do and watch not just sit and watch, go ahead and buy a double tunner receiver since am sure you are ready, otherwise you could have bought the premium cards, pay monthly and sit down and watch.
I think we never like trouble free equipment.
