Romanian satellite market valued

According to the local newspaper Capital, the total value of the TV and radio satellite market in Romania is €30 million. The country’s four digital DTH platforms Boom TV, DigiTV, Focus Sat and Max TV alone spend a total of €6 million a year for the use of satellites.

Also in Romania, the National Audiovisual Council (CNA) has awarded a licence to a new entertainment-based TV station named Kanal D, which will be controlled by Turkey’s Dogan Media International.
