Have a working system first thing, and when you realise the costs, then think of how to avoid some payments but you still watch or make the watching cheaper, on the process you will learn to survive.
must say this is also expensive but not if you are totally interested.
Install the required dishes and start watching, for a start refer to any specialist near you - they are always helpfull at a fee.

to add to above, this people are all learners, given the chance they would come up with the best satellite system in the world, best encryption in the world, best receiver in the world.
everything best - and that is why we cannot put the people in the forum together, if done the satellite guys would shiver, just join them and sharpen your brains.

well thanz for the reply.... but i have already tried taht...i have been using the paid serivce for more than 2 years...but now i realize its a rip off.... i had to pay more han 300 dollars to watch teh footbal.... so its starting to suck. that y i need to find alternate ways....and that y i am here... talking about pro's ... arnt u guys pro's ?
NO, we are not pros. at least i am not. considering the packages you mentioned above, your best bet of getting those channels "almost free" is to get yourself a network capable receiver, like dreambox, triple-dragon, etc and do card sharing. you must however, still have at least a single valid subscription to share back. for starters, look at the spider network thread on this forum and you should be able to see invitations to join their network. it won't be cheap, as already mentioned, but in the long run, the number of channels you get in exchange for a single subscription will cover your expenses. try to have a look also at receivers which will enable you to access the card sharing data via a separate dish (like angelbox, worldbox, etc).
