Barcelona football TV rights.

Spanish soccer club Barcelona will double its income from television rights after reaching a deal with TV production company Mediapro.

Barcelona officials told a news conference on Thursday that over each of the next two seasons the club would receive between 125 million and 135 million euros ($158 million to $170 million).

Between 2008 and 2013 it would receive between 150 million and 170 million euros per season.

Following the deal with Mediapro, the current holders of the rights including pay-TV company Sogecable and Catalan station TV3, have 45 days to match Mediapro's offer and keep the rights.
