BT Vision, the hybrid digital terrestrial and on-demand broadband television service due to launch later this year, has signed an agreement with Video Performance, the music industry body licensing the broadcast of music videos.

The deal will allow BT Vision customers to access hundreds of music videos from the UK's independent record label community, including videos from artists such as The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, Basement Jaxx and Pixies, as well as hundreds of harder-to-find or classic videos that rarely receive airplay on conventional TV.

Dan Marks, CEO BT Television Services, said: "Broadband is exciting because of the richness of services it delivers. This agreement with Video Performance means that BT Vision customers will see cutting edge music videos".

The agreement is the latest in a string of content deals secured by BT Vision. Last month, BT confirmed it will show near-live FA Premier League matches for the 2007-2008 season.
