Pakitan's Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Muhammad Ali Durrani, has told managers of the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) that the broadcaster should utilize all its resources to air quality programme, keeping in mind national interests and maintaining its prestige. Mr Durrani was speaking at a general managers conference at the PTV headquarters yesterday.

The Federal Minister said that the government was providing facilities to the corporation to improve the quality of its dramas, news and current affairs. He said that steps should be taken to dub Urdu programmes into Arabic to boost links with the Arab countries.

Minister of State for Information, Senator Tariq Azeem, added that PTV would produce interesting and quality programmes through teamwork, and this was echoed by PTV Chairman Shahid Rafim who underlined the need for joint efforts to address the day to day challenges.
