Scandal ridden Juventus Football Club has admitted that it will have to renegotiate the TV rights it has sold to Mediaset and Sky Italia if it is relegated to the second tier of Italian football. The club, at the centre of match-fixing allegations, said that the same clause also applied to other “new media” including the Internet and mobile TV for the 2006-07 season. Should the club find itself out of the top two leagues altogether then the contract with 3 Italia would be cancelled completely. Earlier this week the Naples public prosecutor said that Serie A clubs Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio were being investigated for alleged match fixing during the 2004-05 season.
