    Default TATA Sky USE HUMAX RECEIVER FOR HIS DTH SERVICE


    Mumbai, India - May 9, 2006: Tata Sky Ltd., the joint venture between the TATA Group and STAR, today, announced its partnership with Humax, the worlds leading digital satellite set-top box manufacturer, to support the launch of its Direct-to-Home (DTH) service in mid 2006. Humax will manufacture set-top boxes in India and also provide after-sales service and support network for Tata Sky customers.

    Tata Sky is investing in building a high quality digital infrastructure in the country to offer a superior television viewing experience to Indian households. The service will enhance the choice for viewers looking for the best of pay television services in the country. Tata Sky aims to become India's largest digital television platform, offering consumers a wide array of programming choices with interactive features and superior picture and sound quality.

    Hi, Thanks for posting the news but this news is already posted in this forum on the same day i.e., 9th may.. so you are too late.. ok try to post some latest news about tata sky when is it launching and so on..

    Hi

    I'm from India and inerested for a receiver from Humax, either IRCI-5400/IRCI-5400z/CRCI-5500.

    Can anyone plz tell me which is better among the above ?

    And I've searched maddly the email ids of Humax sales people at India ( got from Humax site) , but none of the ids are working. If anyone can give me Humax dears/sales representative's id @ India then I'll be thankfull very much.

    Gone though the link above, and found that some are having problem with 5400z.

    But am asking with one is best.

    Should I go for CRCI-5500 ?

    My opinion is You choose 5400z(I dont have idea about CRCI-5500) because u will get software as well as hardware support from the people in this forum like Masood .
    Every receiver is having problem. Compare to some other receivers , humax
    is far better.Initially u suffer some configuration problem,but later u enjoy well.
    Read this tread and decide yourself.
