    Default Fortecstar .....


    my friend gave me fortec star for upgrading its model is fsci9800 ...
    the channels like absat tps are not working i want to upgrade it i have a cable of supermax 6000 ci+ which also works fine on the humax5400z and world in box 2 ci and neosat 9800ci ... can i use it on this fortecstar stb ..and also are the scrambled channels working on it..? it has a cam of ****** in it ... i think software was never installed in it ... tell me something about it can i upgrade it cuz at the moment its only showing the fta channels....advice me for boot files software etc ....

    i think it does use the same cable (only the NHE 2500 used the straight rs232 cable per my experience). software loads very slowly when uploading a fortecstar. now, there are two versions of 9800, the V2 and the HDD. which one do you have?

    its only 9800 fsci ,,,, not v2 i think..

    bokno_ph is right :yes, straight rs232 cable is use for this stb

    wt abt its software and scrambled channels and upgrading boot etcetra..
