Spanish broadcaster Sogecable achieved a turnover of €436.6 million in the first quarter of the year compared to €395.5m in the same period last year. Revenues generated from new DTT channel Cuatro, €30.9 million, represent the main reason for this increase in turnover, together with the increase of pay-TV subscribers that contributed €12 million in one year. However, Sogecable also announced a net loss of €20.1 million for the first quarter. During the quarter, Sogecable added 25,000 new net clients for digital satellite platform Digital+, bringing the grand total to more than 1,985 million subscribers compared with 1,960 million on December 31, 2005.
